AirCase 15-Inch to 15.6-Inch Laptop Sleeve Review
Hi Folks! In all my offline store laptop purchases, the dealer always gave me a laptop bag. However, when I purchased my Acer Aspire 5 A515-54G through an online deal, I just got the laptop and there was no laptop sleeve or laptop bag with it. Now let me tell you that it was the first time I purchased a laptop online and while I was purchasing it I thought keeping the laptop safe would be a problem later on. I managed for about 10 months without any laptop cover or sleeve but it was high time that I got one – so here comes the laptop sleeve that I purchased from Amazon – AirCase 15-Inch to 15.6-Inch Laptop Sleeve. AirCase Laptop Sleeve – Great on Looks
The AirCase Laptop Sleeve that I purchased is the 15.6″ one for my laptop. The look is really awesome – it’s bright black in color with fluorescent green on the zippers and pockets which accents the lovely black color. The 4 smaller pockets have fluorescent green color from the inside too. Both the exterior and interior fabric material is quite soft and smooth.
This sleeve was the first to come up when I scanned for laptop sleeves on Amazon and it was available on a lightning deal for 649 bucks. The sleeve was delivered in 4 days. I think due to cost-cutting during these corona times the outer package just consisted of a plastic film and on the inside was another plastic spread. I had read other reviews of this sleeve where people mentioned about its foul smell, yet it wasn’t very evident until I kept in the room for about half an hour. So, basically all I wanna say is that it took me about half an hour, when I was constantly around the sleeve, to actually feel that smell. It was a weird smell – something like the smell of an opened tyre or paint.
The AirCase Laptop Sleeve review is incomplete without the details of the 6 utility pockets as claimed in Amazon’s product description. The reality is that there are only 5 major pockets and I guess the 6th one on Amazon’s page refers to the two Pendrive slots that we get inside one of the zipper pockets.
The sleeve has two huge compartments/ pockets on one side which are open compartments (without zippers) and you can put anything from a little paper/scratchpad to a hard drive in it.
On the opposite side, there are two zipper pockets. On the lager of these pockets, as mentioned earlier, are two pen drive slots (the so-called 6th pocket).
Further, the zippers are entirely solid and of good quality. One drawback of this sleeve is that if you put your charger in it, it would bulge out from the pocket and which would deteriorate the elegance in terms of looks. This, at least for me, is not a big issue as my priority is to keep my laptop safe with the least amount of space consumption in my locker which wouldn’t be possible with a laptop bag. I have no shame in carrying the bulging part with the charger inside. If at all there’s a need to look good (for example a ramp walk at the office with formal attire) I can always remove my charge for a short span of time. One word of caution here is that you must take care of not putting an excessive amount of pressure on the sleeve while the charger is inside otherwise the charger pins might cause a little deformation to the sleeve. A simple remedy that works for me is to tilt the charger pins vertically/horizontally so that the pins are not in direct contact with the sleeve. All in all, for regular use of keeping the laptop and charger safe, I have no complaints against this Aircase laptop sleeve.
Last Verdict: This Laptop Sleeve is in vogue these days

Bonus Tip:
I have been using this laptop sleeve as my mouse pad too. My table has a plastic cover over it and it makes my mouse behave erratically. Using this laptop sleeve as my mouse pad has completely eliminated the erratic pointer movement of my mouse and has even saved me a few bucks on the mouse pad. If you have a little space on your table, you can use this sleeve as your mouse pad too!
